Countless benefits were sponsored for area residents who found themselves in difficult times. Marvin and Kathy spent thousands of hours caring for a great network of friends and customers over the years. Over the years Marvin operated the New West Club, Trail Club, a Steakhouse and Restaurant, but his favorite hangout was the well known “Marvin’s Place” He then focused his full attention on his personal business operations at the Sundowner Club purchased in 1972 and expanded to include a well-known steakhouse and rodeo arena. Marvin spent some 25 years working in Vending Operations retiring from Pepsi Cola Bottling Company in Tulsa OK – as Manager of Vending Operations – in 1980.
